MPACT Survey Winners!

Congratulations to Shari H. of Webster Groves and Kim B. or Rayville. They were the lucky winners of the $25 gift cards for filling out MPACT surveys.

Being a statewide organization we rely heavily on feedback from parents and educators to let us know how we are doing. Surveys are an integral part of our programs so that we can ensure quality assistance and trainings.

If you have attended an MPACT workshop, received phone support, or had an MPACT Parent Mentor attend a meeting with you, please take the time to fill out one of our surveys at http://www.ptimpact.com/main/surveys.htm.

Your participation is greatly appreciated.

Money Follows the Person Project

Housing continues to be an issue for individuals who have a disability and those who are aged. The lack of available / affordable housing causes delays in transition from institutions for people that wish to live in the community and may cause individuals to become institutionalized.

In the October DMH Housing Newsletter there was information on the "State of Missouri (draft) Consolidation Plan 2008-2012" prepared by the Department of Economic Development. According to the newsletter there were public meetings held throughout the state in November for comment.

The comment period on the five year plan will continue until December 15th. Individuals my direct there comments to the email address listed below.

The Newsletter can be viewed by going to: http://www.dhm.mo.gov/ada/housing/October2007newsletter.pdf
