CISE~ Center for Innovations in Special Education

The Center for Innovations in Education (CISE) is a collaborative effort between the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the University of Missouri-Columbia, College of Education. Our mission is to provide professional development services and resources to those who ensure all learners achieve their potential.  Our services are available to anyone: families, educators, administrators, providers, students.

Missouri Developmental Disabilities Resource Center 

The MODDRC can help locate needed services and obtain materials on a variety of topics related to developmental disabilities and low incidence disabilities.  MODDRC services are available at no cost to any individual, family or organization in Missouri.

Children’s Disabilities Information

National Center on Educational Outcomes

The National Center on Educational Outcomes provides national leadership in the participation of students with disabilities in national and state assessments, standards-setting efforts, and graduation requirements.

  • programs and services for infants, children, and youth with disabilities;

  • IDEA, the nation's special education law;

  • No Child Left Behind, the nation's general education law; and
