Center for Innovations in Special Education
The Center for Innovations in Education
(CISE) is a
collaborative effort between the Missouri
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the University
of Missouri-Columbia, College of Education. Our mission is to
provide professional development services and resources to those who ensure
all learners achieve their potential. Our
services are available to anyone: families, educators, administrators,
providers, students.
Missouri Developmental Disabilities Resource Center
The MODDRC can help locate needed services and obtain
materials on a variety of topics related to developmental disabilities and
low incidence disabilities. MODDRC services are available at no cost
to any individual, family or organization in Missouri.

Through excellence in
research, teaching and technical assistance, and service in Kansas, the
United States of America, and globally, and through collaborations with
those individuals and entities dedicated to the same ends, the Beach Center
on Disability will make a significant and sustainable difference in the
quality of life of families and individuals affected by disability and of
those who are closely involved with them.

This website was created to help other parents of
children with special needs, like yourself, with articles on topics that we
have found to be supportive to us over the past 14 years. We have also
included books and other resources that either our family or parents on our
support groups have found especially useful.

Center on Educational Outcomes
The National Center on Educational Outcomes provides
national leadership in the participation of students with disabilities in
national and state assessments, standards-setting efforts, and graduation
requirements.
We are the center that provides information to the
nation on:

disabilities in children and youth;

programs and services for infants, children, and youth with disabilities;

IDEA, the nation's special education law;

No Child Left Behind, the nation's general education law; and
-
research-based information on effective practices for children with disabilities.
The
National Institutes of Health is the steward of medical and behavioral
research for the Nation.
The
mission of PACER Center is to expand opportunities and enhance the quality
of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families,
based on the concept of parents helping parents.
SpecialEdLaw.net is a multidisciplinary internet resource for parents of special needs children, as well as attorneys, special education administrators, teachers, psychologists, and others with a need for information relating to Special Education law.
